Transition from Pullups to Nappies

Accepting the fact you need to move from pullups to nappies can be hard. Pullups are more normalised, less embarrassing and seem to be more accepted. Yes pullups are easier to buy and most supermarkets actually stock them on their shelves. They are more discrete and most now days are disguised to look like regular underwear. But lets face it no matter how hard we try and convince ourselves they are no where near as absorbent as nappies. I’m sure they do a great job for people with light to moderate bladder leakage but for anyone experiencing moderate to heavy leakage or bedwetting they just aren’t up to the job.

The step up to wearing nappies can be a bit shocking. For starters nappies are taped at the side, but think about it they are actually easier to change than pullups when out and because of their increased absorbency it will be unlikely you will have to change whilst out.

Nappies are bulkier than pullups, some more so than others. It will only be you that will notice this. You may think others will but believe me they wont!

You will actually save money. Pullups are a lot more expensive than nappies and you normally only get 10 per packet. With nappies you regularly get 20-30 per pack.

Most importantly though you will be able to relax more. You wont have to worry about the pullup leaking, you wont have to worry about finding somewhere to change immediately after having an accident and you will be able to go longer between changes meaning less interruptions to your every day life (don’t forget to look after your skin if going longer between changes)
